Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, processing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within the UAE, with strong knowledge of local suppliers, procurement processes, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Identify new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
Compare quotations and recommend the most cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Resolve supplier-related issues including delays, shortages, damaged goods, and invoice discrepancies.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and ensure timely procurement.
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and UAE regulations.
Assist in preparing procurement reports, cost analyses, and supplier performance evaluations.
Support cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and service standards.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
UAE experience is highly preferred, particularly within Abu Dhabi.
Indian nationality is preferred.

Excellent knowledge of procurement processes and purchasing best practices.
Familiarity with UAE suppliers and local market conditions.
Good understanding of inventory control principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience using ERP or procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar) is an advantage.
