Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef – Pastry & Bakery to lead and oversee all pastry, bakery, and dessert operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu development, production planning, quality assurance, team leadership, food cost control, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. The role requires strong leadership skills, innovation, and expertise in both traditional and modern pastry and bakery techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all pastry and bakery production activities on a daily basis.
Develop innovative dessert, pastry, cake, bread, and bakery menus.
Ensure consistent product quality, taste, and presentation standards.
Supervise, train, and motivate pastry chefs, bakers, and support staff.
Monitor food costs, labor costs, and departmental budgets.
Control inventory, purchasing, and stock management of ingredients.
Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in accordance with local regulations.
Create seasonal promotions and special event menus.
Coordinate production schedules to meet operational requirements.
Ensure proper maintenance and usage of bakery and pastry equipment.
Conduct regular quality checks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with management to achieve revenue and guest satisfaction goals.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Bakery, or a related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in pastry and bakery operations.
At least 3–5 years in a leadership role such as Executive Pastry Chef, Head Pastry Chef, or Pastry Kitchen Manager.
Strong knowledge of artisan breads, viennoiserie, cakes, chocolates, desserts, and bakery production.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in food costing, budgeting, and inventory management.
Fluent English required; Arabic is an advantage.

Creative dessert and bakery menu development.
Wedding cakes, specialty cakes, and custom pastry production.
Large-scale production and catering experience.
Staff training and performance management.
Advanced decorating and presentation skills.
